What they do
Atlassian sells subscription-based team collaboration software built around a system-of-work concept, delivered through a portfolio of apps, AI agents, and Collections for software teams, IT operations and support teams, and leadership and business teams. The portfolio runs on the Atlassian Cloud Platform, whose Teamwork Graph unifies data across Atlassian and third-party tools to power AI features. Revenue comes primarily from cloud subscription fees, supplemented by Data Center term licenses plus premier support subscriptions. The company is winding down its Data Center deployment offering.
Revenue drivers
- Cloud offerings — Subscription fees for software apps hosted on Atlassian-provided cloud infrastructure; quarterly cloud revenue was $1,213 million in Q4 FY2026, up 31% year-over-year.
- Data Center offerings — On-premises term licenses for a specified period with bundled support and maintenance; the company stopped selling term licenses to new customers as of March 2026, ends sales to existing customers in March 2028, and plans to end on-premises maintenance and support in March 2029.
- Premier support subscriptions — Subscription-based agreements for premier support services are included within subscription revenue alongside Cloud and Data Center offerings.
- AI agents, MCP server and Teamwork Graph CLI — AI agents and Collections are sold as part of the portfolio; the MCP server and Teamwork Graph CLI surpassed one million monthly active users in Q4 FY2026, more than doubling in a single quarter.
Recent performance

Full-year FY2026 revenue was $6,572 million, up 26% from $5,215 million, and the full-year GAAP net loss narrowed to $54 million from $257 million. Subscription ARR was $6,606 million, up 23% year-over-year, and remaining performance obligations were $4,817 million, up 44%. Strategy
Atlassian describes itself as an AI-first company embedding AI across every surface of its platform, positioned around its system of work and the Teamwork Graph as the context layer for agentic workflows. It completed the second-quarter fiscal 2026 acquisitions of The Browser Company of New York Inc. (BCNY) and A Software Company (DX) to add an enterprise browser and engineering intelligence, respectively. The company is ending its Data Center deployment offering, with an approximately three-year extended maintenance period for certain customers. It also initiated the July 2025 restructuring plan, which it says addresses capacity no longer necessary given product ability, accessibility, performance, stability, and supportability, and which was substantially completed as of March 31, 2026.
Risks
- Growth sustainability — The company states its historical rapid growth makes it difficult to evaluate future prospects and that it may not sustain its revenue growth rate or achieve long-term profitability.
- Competition — It says the markets it participates in are intensely competitive and that failure to compete effectively could harm its business, results of operations, and financial condition.
- AI execution — It states its AI offerings and investments may not be successful, which could adversely affect its business or financial results.
- Cloud transition and renewals — It cites challenges in continuing its transition to focus on Cloud offerings and its dependence on customers renewing subscriptions and purchasing additional licenses or subscriptions.
Outlook
Management framed Q4 as a strong finish to fiscal 2026, citing 23% subscription ARR growth and 44% RPO growth to $4.8 billion as evidence that enterprises view Atlassian as a long-term strategic partner. The CEO emphasized the Teamwork Graph and one million monthly active users of the MCP server and Teamwork Graph CLI as the basis for AI-driven results, while the CFO cited GAAP profitability and operational discipline alongside durable long-term growth. The company otherwise notes that results may vary with the global economy, including inflationary pressures, interest rate policy, trade policy changes, political instability, and geopolitical tensions.
